Most people saw the camera and tried to avoid it but At 1/6 sec. F22 the more people moving the better.I rented a battery for my Bowens 750r studio light.I was thinking of purchasing the battery to travel lighter and quiet while on location.The gasoline spilling in my trunk from my generator is not a good thing.

To sleep or shoot

This past weekend I was given the opportunity to share a room with Duane and Lisa Ballard.We got into Ventura at 2:00 am after a 2hour drive though rainy L.A. Tired and confused from lack of sleep,We called it a night.The last thing I remember was Lisa saying that Duane will jump on your bed in the morning.My comments were that's OK I will sleep through it.Well I eat my words and Duane never ended up jumping on my bed.Now I'm up and in a spaceship reverse shower thing at 5am.Long story short keep one eye open and wake up early to get sun rise photos

One door close's three more open

I was talking to a new friend today about how far I have got in a short amount of time.
There seems to be something unexplainable and extra terrestrial on my side lol. My wife says I have a determined mind, but what she really means is I'm hard headed. When it comes to things I focus on I put more than 100% in with allot of late nights.
I had the chance to shoot photo's of someone that I highly look up to,then I find out a really good photographer that I also look up to got the job.It turns out I that person is kind enough to share his time with me and let me shoot photo's of him.I have a special project is called "people I look up to portfolio" it has something to do with the 120 film camera I shown in previous post.I also found out I will be shooting a sweet bike at the David Mann show.To top that off I have some plans to shoot some ridiculously silly video "How to stuff" with some of the motorcycle industry's most creative people.
Trying to think outside the box and killing words like unobtainium or impossible.
Just like the tittle says one door closes and three open.

OT. Flexible video for magazines

I can not wait for the day when I can pick up a magazine and see a promo video inside or a how to tutorial. With all the economic down fall of the U.S ,unemployment the highest it has been in years.It seams when humans struggle(pockets books) we tend to think of new and inventive ways to pay our bills.Inventions during the last depression Include (car radio,electric razor,copy machine,Supermarkets,tampax,cookies,and Monopoly.None of this stuff was around and we now take it for granted.
Im not saying this is the wave of the future but its a real cool idea.

Monte De Oro

Recently I had a photo shoot for Hot Bike Magazine at a new winery in Temecula called Monte De Oro.
I meet with Tony from who cut out all the metal Logo's for the winery.
Tony's Bike is going to be in a new issue of next years Hot Bike.

Save a few for me YASHICA D.

I have been working on the side on this cool project, photographing with all 120 film.
I usually take my YASHICA D with me where ever I go and shoot some random stuff from that days event.
Why do I choose this camera? Well it was cheap and works really well, and lets face it the Holga is cool but not that cool.
These are some of the many photo's taken from Slab city riot. I could spend a week just looking around and shooting stuff.

I'm not exactly sure what he has in store for us. I think there is plans to bring in a couple more custom motorcycle parts.Stay tuned

Barker shoot
